Seeking New Members!April 2008
The Young Women's Club of York is seeking prospective new members interested in serving the York Community. Women over the age of 21 are invited to join. Our Club Year runs from September through May.

The purpose of the Young Women's Club is "to promote educational and cultural interest, to further civic improvements and to engage in philanthropic activities". Since it's founding in 1941, the Club has raised well over $2 million for the benefit of the community. We own and operate the Hospitality Shop which is the Gift Shop located in York Hospital and have produced nine Decorators' Show Houses since 1978.

Active membership requirements include staffing the Hospitality Shop, participation in the fundraising events and serving on a Club Committee. In addition to the "working committees" of the Young Women's Club, there are many opportunities for building friendships and having fun by becoming involved in the social groups within the Club.
